Leeds North and West foodbank

Our Energy Supply Business Transformation Team recently volunteered for the Leeds North and West foodbank. The team provided a donation point within the ENGIE UK headquarters where employees could donate ambient food items and other items to support the foodbank. The team also went to a local supermarket, ASDA in Owlcoates, to encourage shoppers to donate an item from the foodbank shopping list and came away with a whole trolly full of donations. The team then sorted through food and packaged emergency food parcels in the afternoon.

The Leeds North and West foodbank provides three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
