After working in legal private practice firms in both Scotland and England, Neil has progressed his career in the energy industry for over 20 years, the last 15 of which have been at ENGIE. During his time within Group, Neil has held a broad range of senior legal roles in ENGIE UK businesses, which served as a solid platform for his appointment as UK General Counsel in 2022.
Neil had an integral role within the UK Steerco leading ENGIE in the UK following the restructure of the previous Country BU model, including consolidating the businesses, setting strategy and implementing the Global Business Unit (GBU)/ Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) and Transformation & Geographies (T&G) structures, and continues to support the ambitions of ENGIE UK and the Group as part of both the UK Exec and the European Hub GC Teams.
In addition to legal expertise, UK T&G Legal also comprises Company Secretarial support, Data Protection, Ethics and Real Estate support, and the Team reflects his own strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.
